PRO-AM TEAMS Sunday July 26 Once again we’re having a Pro-Am team game. We all seem to have a good time playing with three new team mates. Each team has at least one Life Master and three other players. We pick teams according to master points. Each player is in group A, B, C, or D according to their master point total. We’ll draw one player from each group to make up each team. All the teams are sort of equal, so you never know who will win. Before the game, we have a pot luck lunch at noon. Bring something nice to eat and enjoy a great lunch. It makes for a great day! THE LONGEST DAY Our Longest Day games on June 22 went will, with the regular Monday afternoon game plus morning and evening games. Thanks to Jackie Finn, who organized refreshments in the morning. Thanks to directors Kay Chrisman and Richard Meffley, who donated their time and to Laura Da Costa, who donated a portion of her regular game receipts. To all those who contributed, thanks! A big thank you goes to DaVinci’s Pizza, who donated plenty of pizzas for the break between the afternoon session and evening session. Their pizzas were delicious! They have six locations for takeout pizza in Fresno. All told, we raised about $600 for the Alzheimer’s Association. LESSONS Laura Da Costa is about half way through lessons on defense. You can still catch a few lessons on Saturday morning at 9 am. New lessons for beginning students will start on Saturdays in August. Please let your friends know that they can soon learn how to play. For up-to-date information on lessons, call Laura at 439-8040. CLUB NEWS North American Championship games continue in July and August.
