PRO-AM PAIRS
January 28
Sunday, January 28, we’re having a Pro-Am game. Come without a partner – we’ll draw a “pro” for each “amateur” and an “am” for each “pro.” The game starts at 1 pm following a pot luck lunch at noon. Please bring something scrumptious for the players to enjoy. Be sure to arrive well before 1 pm so we have time to draw partners, meet your partner, and start on time.

WE’RE STARTING NOONERS
Mondays and Wednesdays
Effective this January, all open afternoon games (except Sunday) will start at noon. This is a change for Wednesday and Friday. The schedule is now Noon for games on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, and 1 pm for Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday games. Morning and evening games are not changing times.

BID on a GAME with a LIFE MASTER
A silent auction to play with Life Masters begins on January 8 and concludes on Sunday, January 28, with a Pro-Am game. Bid high and bid quick!  If you win Gerard Laquerriere, you may get an extra prize – we’ll announce it soon. If you win a Life Master, you must make arrangements to play sometime after January 28.

LESSONS
Free lessons start again on Saturday January 20 at 9 am. We’ll have beginning Easybridge for newcomers, and Easybridge 2 for those who’ve learned from Easybridge 1. Call Laura Da Costa at 999-2825 or Mary Lou Pease at 288-2340 for more information. Be sure to tell your friends and neighbors – they need to learn bridge, too.
Laura is teaching lessons on bidding at 10 am, starting January 23. If you want to learn how to start bidding the right way, take these lessons.
Clovis Adult School will have beginning lessons at our bridge club on Tuesday nights, taught by Mary Lou Pease. Lessons will be from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, starting on January 16, 2018. A second series starts on March 13.

AROMAS
Please be aware that some of our members are very sensitive to people wearing heavy perfume or cologne. Please do not wear much if any. Our playing room is not so big – sensitive people cannot avoid strong aromas at the bridge center.

SPRING SECTIONAL
February 16-19
Our Spring sectional is coming soon, starting on Friday and continuing through President’s Day on Monday. Schedules are available at the bridge club, or on-line.
