Mark Stern wins President’s Award
Three-way tie for 99er Award
Mark Stern won the President’s Award with three wins and two second place finishes in the tournament. Ann Keag, Pam Pigg, and Debbie Kemp tied for the 99er Award, with each winning a 499er Pairs event. Congratulations!
Our tournament director Scott Campbell did his usual superb job. He even had time to give a lesson between sessions.
A big thank you goes to Jackie Finn, who organized the hospitality including the Sunday meal between sessions. Thanks also to Belva Quattrin and Deb Petersen for all their help.
We will elect unit board members at the Unit Christmas party and annual meeting on Sunday, December 11. If you would like to nominate yourself or another member, put the name in the blue nomination box at the Bridge Center, or notify a current board member. We will also vote on amendments to the Unit By-Laws. The current and amended by-laws will be posted on-line and at the Fresno Bridge Center.

November 13, 2016
Ninety players qualified in June, July, and August for the Unit NAP finals on Sunday November 13, 2016. All are invited to play on November 13. Those who finish in the top half of their flight can play in the District 21 finals in Mountain View on January 21 and 22, 2017 for Flight A and on January 22 for Flight C. Flight B plays on Saturday, February 4, 2017, in Burlingame. The top three qualify for the NAP finals in Kansas City in March.

Starting on Saturday, January 14, 2017, we will have a series of FREE beginning EasyBridge lessons at 9 am, We’re trying this in hopes of spreading the word of how enjoyable it is to play bridge, and we hope many will get the message and continue on after the lessons.
